Open Source Government

Lifehack.org has a great post today about the other things in life that could be done as open source projects besides software. You know we have great operating systems, office suites, graphics packages and browsers that are open source.

But this post suggests we take this effective process to greater lengths. What about open source government? Open source money? Schools? Corporations? Entertainment?

Unfortunately, the post doesn't currently load in my browser (I read it through my RSS Reader) but hopefully they will fix that page soon. It is the most thought-provoking article I've read in months. I think we should try it with some small town first, and then keep scaling up until we have a fully open source federal government!

What do you think?
