Do You Ubuntu?
This is a fun post. A librarian in a small town in Vermont received three donated PCs but not any legitimate operating systems, so she decided to install Ubuntu on them.
Ubuntu is a flavor of Linux that is known for being especially easy-to-use and has a strikingly beautiful user interface. It is downloadable for free, which made it interesting to our Vermont librarian.
I highly recommend her short video. Her enthusiasm for this great, open source software is contagious.
I'd love to try Ubuntu when I have the time to play with it. I like the look of it from the screenshots. I have several Linspire laptops, which are very functional, but the user interface just isn't as pretty as Ubuntu.
